The lagoon includes include a sheltered toddlers wading pool, a shallow, 1.5 metre maximum depth children's pool and a larger pool which has a maximum depth of 2 metres and separate swimming lanes for fitness enthusiasts.

It is built on a raised breakwater, giving an excellent view out to the Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands.
