Development Incentives

The promotion and creation of new economic investment is an essential element of the core business of Whitsunday Regional Council. In particular Whitsunday Regional Council is committed to promoting and encouraging new forms of employment generating business activity to the region. In order to promote and encourage such forms of development the purpose of this policy is to provide subsided infrastructure charges as an inventive for particular forms of development within the Whitsunday Regional Council area.

The Whitsunday Regional Council at its Ordinary Meeting on 24 June 2015 resolved to adopt the Economic Development Incentives Policy (EDIP) (Version 1.2).
 
The Economic Development Incentives Policy should be read in conjunction with the Whitsunday Regional Council Adopted Infrastructure Charges Resolution (AICR) No. 2 of 2015.
