Whitsunday Regional Economic Development Strategy

The Whitsunday Regional Economic Development Strategy has been prepared, following extensive community consultation in February 2017. The Strategy was adopted by Council on 27 September 2017, and the final version can be viewed here.

Thank you for your interest. This consultation has concluded.

Help us create a 'road map' for the future!

All residents, from every corner of the Whitsunday region, are invited to participate in public consultation for the Whitsunday Regional Economic Development Strategy 2017-2021.

Council will be undertaking analysis and developing this strategy over the next few months, and as part of this process it is important to capture what the community feels are priorities for the region.

Public Consultation activities will take place from Wednesday 1 February to 5pm Tuesday 28 February 2017 for a period of four (4) weeks.

The purpose of the Strategy is to develop a clear, actionable and achievable ‘road map’ for economic development in the Whitsunday region until 2021.
