“As part of the 2014-15 Council Budget $100,000 is being spent on resurfacing the Bowenaerodrome apron which will ensure smoother transfers for patients and a more efficient RoyalFlying Doctors Service for the Bowen area.
“The RFDS’s emergency retrieval service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and hasexpanded to provide regular transfers of patients for life-saving surgery such as organ transplants and heart surgery, delivering critical support to those who live in regional, rural and remote areas.

“Whitsunday Regional Council is pleased to be able to help the RFDS by donating back theirlanding fees for the last financial year.
