Whitsunday Regional Council has introduced a new self-serve online recruitment system soanyone can apply for jobs online, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from anywhere, using a range of electronic and mobile devices.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said as one of the largest employers in the Whitsunday region it is important for Council to be able to reach the largest number of people possible through online digital avenues when recruiting.
“The new system allows people to login and view the status of all the jobs they have applied for,track the progress of their application through the recruitment process, and receive updates astheir application reaches various milestones,” she said.
“The new Council recruitment website is very user-friendly and an easy way to find the latestvacancies at Whitsunday Regional Council.
“People interested in working for Council can also set up an email alert to let them know every time a new vacancy is posted on the recruitment site,” she said.
