Whitsunday Regional Council and TORGAS Inc are pleased to announce the 2016 apprenticeshipprogram is now open for applications.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said she is pleased that Whitsunday Regional Council is able to offer career paths and opportunities to members of the community.
“Whitsunday Regional Council and TORGAS are advertising to fill the apprenticeship positions for 2016,” Mayor Whitney said.
“These apprenticeships offer a great opportunity for local people to get the training, skills andexperienced necessary to become a qualified tradesperson,
“By offering these opportunities in the community, Council is also helping to alleviate localunemployment, particularly in the youth sector,
“Council is one of the largest employers in the region and it is exciting that we can kick startsomeone’s career through an apprenticeship.”
The apprenticeships being offered are:
• Apprentice Plumber – Proserpine• Apprentice Plumber – Bowen• Apprentice Plumber – Collinsville• Apprentice Fitter– Proserpine
