Mitch (Grandad), Glenn (Dad) and Ashleigh (granddaughter/daughter) represent the Clarke family from Proserpine and Airlie Beach. They have a local history spanning 4 generations, from cane farming through to the islands.
Glenn is a cane farmer, taking over the family farm from Mitch and they are both founding members of the Airlie Beach Sailing Club. Their fathers and grandfathers were some of the earliest locals to explore the islands and have passed on this love for the water to the future generations. Ashleigh is a travel photographer who recently launched a new brand inspired by her childhood exploring the Great Barrier Reef.
As proud Whitsunday locals you’ll find the original farm cottage from Mitch’s parents in the Proserpine museum.
“Our family have been here for 4 generations and it just keeps getting better and better all the time. This is Our Whitsunday Way, that’s the way it is, that’s the way we made it.” - Mitch
