Whitsundays arts festival Handmade Markets
Proposal to hold a one day handmade markets with free art workshops for children at Fairy Tree Park organised by the Whitsundays Arts Festival. Unlike other years this is a one-day event.

The ever popular Whitsundays Arts Festival Handmade Markets will return to the the Fairy Tree Park site on Sunday 24 September for a one day event. Free art activities will take place in conjunction with the markets including kid's art workshops. There will be approximately 4 food vendors on site as in other festival years. All market stalls will include only products handmade in Australia by the stall holders. Last year over 50 stallholders displayed arts and crafts coming primarily from Mackay to Townsville with a few from brisbane and northern NSW. We will require water tap to be activated and sprinkler system for that day to be turned off. The Handmade Markets have been a highly regarded event on the foreshore for three years and provides opportunities for local arts and crafts practitioners to sell to and network with the community and each other and contributes tremendously to the vibrancy of the cultural community of the Whitsundays.Unlike other years this is a one day event. There will be no stage.
