The Tassal Airlie Beach Marathon Festival caters for all ages from 4 to 100 years of age. It hosts the Athletics North Queensland's (an affiliate of Athletics Queensland and Australian Athletics) championship marathon. A half marathon, 10km, 5km, 2km, 1km and Magic Mile are included in the program. These races are run over various courses between the Port of Airlie and Cannonvale Beach with the race precinct at the sound stage on the Airlie Foreshore. This year's event is expected to attract over 600 runners from all parts of Australia and the World.
