One of the favourite events on the Whitsundays calendar, the annual Great Barrier Reef Festival is proudly brought to you by Cruise Whitsundays. The event spreads over four days annually over the first weekend in August and is a combination of family fun, community events, live music, food and fireworks. Among the festival favourites on the program are the fireworks on the foreshore, street parade, night markets, comedy gala, Revvin’ the Reef car show, family fun day and a Recyclable Regatta. The festival is not only about fun but education around the environment and our beloved Great Barrier Reef. For the first time in 2021 the event will feature art installations on the foreshore highlighting the beauty of the reef. The Great Barrier Reef Festival is an event not to be missed with other activities over the four-day period including a pop-up bar on the foreshore, carnival rides, market and food stalls and environmental workshops. There is something for everyone and endless opportunities to be a part of something great!
