Declaration of Office Ceremony - Livestream

The Electoral Commission of Queensland has officially declared Julie Hall as the newly elected Mayor of the Whitsunday Regional Council after the recent Mayoral by-election.

WRC CEO Rod Ferguson will take the declaration of office for the new Mayor at the Bowen Council Chambers on Monday, August 29 at 10am attended by Councillors and Council’s Executive Leadership Team.

The swearing in ceremony is not a public event but will be live streamed to allow interested community the opportunity to tune in and watch. The first Ordinary Meeting of Council for the new Mayor will be Wednesday 14th September 2022.
