Council to launch first ever Community Satisfaction Survey

Back

Whitsunday Regional Council will soon commence a Community Satisfaction Survey to help measure its performance in providing services and facilities to residents in the Whitsunday Region.

A representative sample of residents will be phoned directly by an independent company, IRIS Research, who has had many years of experience assisting Councils with understanding the needs of their community.

The survey will focus on Council’s services and facilities, customer satisfaction, utilisation of facilities, preferred communication methods and future priorities.

Mayor Andrew Willcox said this survey was a first for Council and aligns with his goals to constantly improve the organisation to deliver better outcomes for the community.

“It’s so important that residents have an opportunity to share their views, in addition to the usual channels that we offer for providing feedback,” he said.

“Residents will be asked about their satisfaction on a broad range of services, issues and experiences so we can understand how the community feels about the level of services we are currently providing.

“The findings of the survey will provide Council a further insight into the community’s perceptions of the organisation and provide a baseline for future benchmarking and performance levels.

“It will be vital in assisting us to identify future priorities, so I encourage residents who are contacted by IRIS to offer genuine feedback,” Mayor Willcox said.

“If you don’t receive a phone call then you can still participate online, and we would like as many residents as possible to provide feedback.”

The survey will be conducted via phone call to residents from Monday 8 February 2021 until Sunday 21 March 2021.

The link to the online survey will also be made available during this period and can be accessed by visiting Council’s online engagement hub – http://yoursay.whitsundayrc.qld.gov.au
